4000 Quattro with 40K or 140K

Been watching the list for a while now and saw the '84 Quattro with 40K .. 
that makes  2000/year or about 5 mi. per day. That's real hard to believe. 
either.......
1. the guy had a real short commute to work  or
2. He never liked to drive the car   or
3. It's his grandma's car..... (this I could believe because my grandma has a 
'84 Aries with 29K on it)
The only new car I ever bought was a '69 Lotus Europa and I had 40K on it in 
the first year and a half!
Then I saw a '85 4000q in the marketplace with 140K on it, but the owner 
states it drives like it has 40K on it.......
