That's exactly what we need, the correct formulation for this stuff.

In fact, what we need is a correct detergent: does anybody know one?

Last summer, thinking that real soap would clean bugs more easily, I
filled the system with water and liquid soap: result? Funny bubbles on
the wiper arms, looooong streaks of dirty water on the roof, and a
bizarre raspberry smell in the car...

Would adding a can of dry gas (isopropyl alcohol)
to a gallon of tap water serve as antifreeze?  Maybe 
add a drop of detergent to it for cleaning?
