As Javad pointed out, I did seem a little bit harsh . . .

But that was not my goal, nor was it my intent, and if I offended you, I
apologize, it was inadvertent. (Sometimes I say "I may not always tell you
what you want to hear, but I will always tell you the truth.")

And further, if we were in the same area, I'd probably be upset if you
declined my offer of free help.

The people who are experts at doing engine conversions got that way by . .
. doing engine conversions. Everyone *starts* at the same place, it is what
we do afterward that results in us becoming an expert.

This probably IS going to be a big job, but you've made the first moves already

1) You've got an engine (you will do the timing belt, right? Get the V8Q
workshop manual, available on CD for a couple of bucks if you ask nice on
the list.)

2) You've got a car you want to put it into

3) You've got a place to work AND friends to help you

4) And most important, you've got the sense to ask for advice BEFORE you
get stuck someplace that you can't go forward or go back.

I really do wish you the best of luck and terrific results on this
conversion - I just was trying to make sure you were going into this with
your eyes well and truly wide open. And if I *can* help, especially on
electrics, on which I'm pretty good (cough cough), you have my e-mail.

Best Regards,

Mike Arman
