4kq Differential Operation and warnings?????

Well, we deprived North Americans didn't get the Torsen urqs. Grumble,
grumble.

All North American, and probably worldwide, pre-84, vacuum-operated urq
lockers had only a two-position switch (open/open, or locked/locked). I
guess these fall between the "older" ones and the "very early" ones you
mentioned.

Is the "competition" line mentioned in later urq owner's manuals?

Cheers,
Brady

Well, _my_ ur-quattro (85-J-900637) can only lock the rear differential.

But the older ones can lock the rear or the rear and centre. In fact, the
very early
cable-operated ones can lock each independently.
