The Audi 80 quattro I drove on my course at Audi in 1981 had two separate pulls for the
differentials, mounted one above the other.

The instructors taught an emergency braking manoeuvre in which your right hand made a downward
sweep with the index and centre fingers extended like hooks - the idea was to hit both pulls
(to switch on both diff locks) and carry on the movement to knock the car out of gear.
