ENGINE OIL/ WINTER/ WARMING CAR (tirade, yet edumacational.. D'oh!)

Interesting information, especially since it agrees with my process...! 
;-)  Only question is, how do you know when your oil has reached the
proper temp when you don't have an oil temp gauge?!
