90 vs 100amp alternators

hey folks,

i think it's time for a new alternator. mine is outting out ~9.5vdc at idle, 
everything off, measured at the batt w/ the batt connected. anyone know 
offhand if the 110 and 90 amp alternators that are available for an 88 90q 
are interchangeable? i'im not sure which one the car has, but i'd like to 
get the more powerful one either way. will this hurt anything if it came 
with a 90a?
