Why do I feel that this whole Cayenne deal will become a huge exercise in
damage control once the new model shine has worn off?
Cheers,
Brady

Of course there is the Cayenne Turbo which has Porsche's turbo V8 with
450hp, but for the price of one of those you can buy *TWO* Touareg V8s
and keep some change (comparing base prices). Road and Track mag
did just such a comparo in the Nov 03 issue.
Incidentally, I read rumours that originally the Audi Pikes Peak
show car was going to become a production model based on the same
platform as the Touareg/Cayenne, but Porsche wouldn't allow it.
