thanks Joshua and Hue, I will check out the brakes before taking it into the 
shop for an alignment check. I have also been getting particularly bad gas 
mileage lately which might be explained by a dragging brake (and the 10% ethanol 
they add to the gas this time of year). Other than the non-uniform nature of the 
wear a dragging brake makes sense. It should be easy enough to tell tomorrow 
when I can jack it up and spin the wheels. Any idea what an acceptable drag 
level would be? Probably much less than I could measure with a torque wrench.
