Pre-cat. flange repair needed-type 44

Anyone done this?

I've used split flanges to repair the post cat pipe that has deteriorated in 
the past.This problem is somewhat different...The existing manifold to cat 
pipe and its flange are in good condition, however the flange is cleanly 
separated from the pipe that it surrounds. A split flange would draw the pipe and cat 
flanges together, but not grip the exhaust pipe.

At 300,000 miles I'm not looking for a long term solution, just a decent 
"fix." Is this "weldable"?
