metric switchover

The switch from inch sizes to metric is happening slooooowly. When this
was proposed back in the stone ages, Bubba didn't like it, and there was
an incredible amount of complaining. But for most purposes, we're
metric today.
My farm equipment has been all metric for at least a decade. The lumber
yard has lots of materials that are metric sizes. But the King's thumb
is still an inch wide, so we haven't made the switch official yet.
By the way, the farm supply stores sell metric hardware by the pound,
just in case you need some quick and at a reasonable price. None of my
Audis has complained, either. The John Deere dealers can fix you up
with custom made hydraulic hoses with metric ends in pretty much any
size, also.
