Yeah, Its pretty shocking, but it helps to pay for all the civil service
bureacracy that we need so that we can convert to the metric system that
disguises the true shocking cost of things by introducing smaller units to
measure things in. e.g. litres.. ;)

Meanwhile I have an old Jag in the garage that does 17-20 mpg. Now you
know why it spends most of its time in the *garage*.

 Cheers,

rob

Rob,

Let's see. 1 liter = 0.264 US gallons and 1£ = $1.72 That means you're
paying $5.14 per gallon!!!

78.9 per liter is the worst I've heard M8! I pay the equivalent of $4.77 per
gallon where I live and I can't fill up the tank without tears coming to my
eyes.

You made my day! It is wonderful to know that some poor dude has it worse
than I do :-)

I just filled up
with fuel at 78.9 per litre and now have to convert to gallons before I can
find out my m.p.g. (27 for the last tankful). Given the cost of fuel here
it goes something like 30+ mpg - good!, 25-30 Ok, less than 25 poor, less
than 20 ruinous!

Cheers,

rob
