Subject: Cold Start problems still - ideas?
I got the system into closed-loop yesterday and it ran great at normal
operating temp. good O2 reading, 10mA at idle on the control pressure
actuator, smooth idle.
Then this morning i get in after a 15 degree night and go to start the car
and if fires up immediately then just about dies till i step on the gas. I
waited a few seconds while the car maintain idle and when i went into gear
and added gas it just about died (600 rpm) until i depressed the clutch and
let the engine recover. I have a brand new water temp sensor i put in 2
weeks ago. Once i got going and stepped on the gas to get up to 30mph the
car stumbled. Would the thermo-time switch and cold start valve be
culprits?
Fuel pump and relay are good. Again it runs fine when up to temp.
Any ideas?
