Not having the product to fix the issue is no excuse. A recall should be
declared and repairs scheduled to coincide with supply deliveries.
You see, Brett, a recall to replace all of the suspected coils would be very,
VERY, expensive. Only replacing those coils that have failed is a cheaper
option for VAG and whether or not that is the reason, it's the perception.
VAG has never been a company willing to go the extra mile when it screws up,
and this is another in a long line of those screw ups.
