Blizzak MZ-02 vs. Artic Alpins

First real test of new Blizzaks this morning.  5-6" of
fresh powder.  20-25*F   Interstates totally covered
with a frozen mix of packed powder/really cold slush.
These tires are much better than "normal" tires, but
not much better than the Mich. MXV-4s I was running so
far this winter.  Not even close to the Artic Alpins
I've been using for the past 3 winters on 2 different
vehicles.  On hard braking, ALL these things do is
slide.  30 seconds of constant anti-lock chatter.
Although it IS vcontrollableable and I can steer
anywhere I want, the lack of brake is not too
confidence inspiring.  Anyone else have any BTDTs with
these tires?  As I said, they are pretty good at
evasive manuveurs, even up to 60-65 mph.  Under
braking or not.  Just no stopping.
