Well as the fancy has worn off, I realize I want back into a 4wd VW
Vanagon and a nice camper has become available so...

Two '89 200 quattro's for sale in Morgantown, WV. Both are early cars
(1 knock sensor MC engines, VIN's within 500 of each other)

#1 Pearl white, 107k on odo, black leather (very nice except for split
in drivers seat, but not torn, just easily repairable split at seam),
rest of interior nice with just one of the door panel tops peeling a
bit, has old style alloys, not the BBS, it is an early '89 and the
alloys are match painted Peal white so I suspect this is original, cold
weather package, all the toys work, except perhaps one window,
windshield is cracked, could use tires, body shines nicely without many
dings, but A-pillars around the windshield is crappy repaint after
rusted rock chips. Runs 100%, A/C reputed to blow cold, I've not had
opportunity to use it.

#2 My original problem 200, suffered slipped crank sprocket, I pulled
the head, touched it up, had to replace a couple of exhausts, now very
strong. It has 165k, beige metallic over gray interior with the sport
Recaro option, interior is rattier than the white car. Drivers seat is
pretty worn on the side bolsters, drivers heater dead, 2 or 3 of the
door panels are peeling at top edges, headliner tacked up (thank
whoever at VW/Audi for going to that environmentally friendly water
based glue around '88.) Don't get me wrong, still presentable, and the
other three seats are as new, but no where near perfect inside.
Intended Acceration ECU. Outside is actually better and worse, not
rusted a bit on the nicks, but clearcoat on hood and on sunroof are
shot. OK BBS alloys with nearly new Khumo's. No A/C compressor,
windshield also cracked. Slow P/S leak. Runs like monster. Could use
front rotors, and ABS stays off, I've not got into looking into either.

Also included is a perfect windshield with built in antenna for
whichever car you like, new set of Boge Turbogas front struts. Between
the pair there are enough parts to keep one car going forever, and
raise the other one 4 inches and go mudding with it or something.

I'm asking $5500 for the set/offers.
