It sounds like the head gasket was a symptom, and not a cause... but you
should have fixed most of the possible causes while doing that head gasket.

Is the radiator clogged?

Is the thermostat opening?

Something is preventing coolant from circulating, and I'd hate to see a
repeat of the previous problem develop...
