Well, thanks to all the responses I'm not so sure now...I'm still convinced that the coolant blow off and the cut out are correlated (obviously), but not that one is causing the other.
Here is what I do know:
-Coolant blows out of the exp. tank all over the distributor and plug wires, but I can't find any evidence that its actually made its way into the distributor or any of the wires.
-I have a leak in one of the comb. chambers at certain loads and head temps, could either be a leaking head gasket or ...gulp, cracked head, the leak has been consistend for 3 hard track events in a row, which is not very typical for a hg leak. I'll be changing the head gasket this weekend just to be sure, I'll know more then. Also head studs will go in then too.
-I checked all my plugs, they look fine, littly black but not sootey, slight wear on the 3 prongs, put some new NGK's in for the heck of it. I looked down into the comb. chambers, pistons look black but carbon free, no pitting, hash marks still on the cylinder walls. I have new plug wires on the way, and I may experiment with a Crane HI6 CD ignition and PS92 race coil to see if that alleviates the problem, one of my 034efi customers confirmed he had the same exact problem and an MSD ignition fixed it. Soon the direct fire ignition will be in there, but it would be really nice to get to the bottom of this before "moving on".
So, theory is that I have (hopefully) a head gasket leak, and also that the stock ignition system is being overloaded under full race conditions, possibly that the coil just can't keep up with the load, and that a hotter multiple spark will keep it from happening. Hopefully I can test my theories at an open track day at Thunderhill later this month, I'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks for all the suggestions, i've appreciated the time each one of you took to write.
