True enough about changing them whenever things are apart unless it's apart every weekend ;)

However my point is, instead just going ahead and ripping the entire front end again it is possible that the fastener just came loose... BTDT many a time, especially with impact gun.
It's a 10min job (even without impact gun) and will make him happy if it works.  Not trying to save him $15 just a lot of time and effort.

Just friendly advise...
