IF you're talking about a 5cyl. type 44..I'd say you'll at least double
or triple the amount of work trying to do it this way. Doing the
components in order is manageable, trying to hold it all together to do
it at once is like trying to herd cats.
This is possible and does simplify things on several Mercedes Benz models
(BTDT), because unlike Audi, the suspension, gearbox, engine etc. are all
mounted on the subframe.
