KH vs MC differences

I believe that there is a difference in compression ratio between the KH and
the MC. I have always read that the KH is somewhere around 8.3:1 while the
MC is 7.8:1. I know it doesn't seem like a big difference but it does make a
huge impact in off bost throttle response and in how quickly the turbo
spools. Higher compression = better acceleration off boost and quicker
spooling. That being said, the MC was a higher HP engine from the factory
because Audi used more boost (among other things)with the lower compression
on the MC.
I am currently using a KH bottom end in my CGT turbo project and it is
working out great. I can hit 12 psi by 3000 rpm, and off boost the
acceleration feels just as good if not better than my CGT did in NA form.
