80tq wiring questions about fuel pump relay

I am painfully close to being able to drive my 1988 80tq project, except for one issue.
I have a question for the elite and knowledgeable few people who have broken ground before me by performing MC engine turbo swap already.
The swap is totally done, except even though the tachometer operates, the car will not run unless I have the fuel pump relay jumpered. I must have missed something small, my guess is the trigger signal for the 555 timer in the fuel pump relay is missing. Does anyone else have any idea's on this problem? With the jumper it starts, runs and idles well. I am looking forward to driving it soon!
The background on the swap parts wise is;
1988 80q with a/c completely removed(cloth/no seat heat/no trip computer), 80 flywheel lightened by 2.4 lbs and balanced, 20v clutch disc, mc-2 motor/k24 turbo running on QLCC chipped mac11 ecu and harness. 5kt intercooler and hoses with modified core support, battery in trunk, urq airbox lid and downspout.
For all practical purposes this is a standard 4ktq turbo swap, in a 80 body with the clutch differences due to the 80 transmission. Visually it resembles Dave Close's swap pretty closely except for the airbox.
