Tranny Swap question revisited...

Hey all,

In my continuing quest to ensure that I remain broke and strapped to the Audi
world I'm once again looking into the purchase of a couple of Coupe GT's.
Alas, the two I've found are both Automatics.

Now, I know I asked this question before...probably a year ago to be
exact...and despite searching the archives I can't seem to find the answers
provided in the past.

How difficult is the automatic to manual swap on the Coupe GT?  Besides needing
the obvious donor parts: Tranny, Shift linkage, interior trim, pedal set,
master and slave cylinders, and clutch/flywheel/pressure plate.  I recall there
was SOME reason why I thought I should stay away...

My memory seems to recall a need to hammer clearance into the floor pan for the
manual tranny/shift linkage.

Can anyone remind me? Anyone BTDT and want to discuss?

Anyone got the standard donor parts in Canada they want to part with
inexpensively??
