It takes almost 3 quarts/liters of hypoid gear oil, 80 or 90 weight, not
sure which. I think I have used 80w90 in the past. I also used Mobil
One synthetic with no apparent trouble.
Loosen the fill plug before the drain plug. After draining, replace
drain plug and fill until the fluid is level with the fill plug.

Yes.

No, it is "auatomatic", as I recall from voluminous discussion on this
list, it can transfer up to 90% of torque to the front or rear when it
"senses" slippage at the other end.
