Yes, but on the 5KS. I put the car on a 4 arm hydraulic lift at a
friends shop, and used just the two front arms and lifted JUST the front
end off the ground as high as I dared (about 3 feet with chocks on rear
wheels) and turned the wheel from stop to stop about 20 times (pitch of
the full L/R changed around the 6th time, but I did 20 just to make
sure.) It's been fine since then. All type 44 hydraulic systems are
ususlly bled this way.
I think you might be able to bleed out the V8Q by lifting the left side
higher, based of the reservoir orientation (it's on the firewall on other
type 44's.) On the right side you'll have to lift it just enough to get
the tire off the ground, the system is bled with both front wheels off
the ground.
