Bob-
AFAIK, your Evo8 figure is off by 1,000 lbs. It's more like
3200 lbs., according to C&D and R&T.

The problem with the US-spec Evo8 is that we're not getting
AYC (Active Yaw Control) and ACD (Active Center Diff.) because
they want to put a larger gas tank in the car, durability (!?!)
reasons are given for the use of a 5-speed rather than a 6, probably
liability reasons more than anything else for not including the
yaw and torque bias controls.

Funny thing is, the STi will have a user-adjustable center diff. torque
bias, a 6-speed and all the cool bits- both have H2O injection standard,
both have very nice seats and HID Xe headlamps.

Evo gets my nod for having the big FMIC.

I'd love to see a reprogrammed Haldex doing a 40/60 F/R torque bias
on a new Audi S3, stripped to the bone w/o moonroof, power windows,
climate control, sound insulation, rear seats, etc., with the R32 engine
turbocharged w/ H2O injection and a FMIC. RS3 CS. Sell it for $30k.
