Does anyone know when they started putting Servotronic in? Anyone know if my 1992
100S has it? My curiosity is piqued, but another part of me says that after 8
years of driving my car the way it is now (and being happy), that I might find it
a tough adjustment... maybe one that I don't like.

Hey everyone. Finally got around to disabling the
dreaded servotronic on my 93 100s 5sp. Got some conflicting advice on what to
do, where the relay was located, etc. Looked around for the relay but could not
find it. The procedure is quite simple and doesn't even require removing the
glovebox or anything like that. All I did was the following: Open the glovebox
all the way out, look behind it, find a small green rectangular box(it's resting
on the foot vent), reach behind box, wiggle out the connector....DONE! WOW!
The difference is amazing; this car feels like it should now, on the highway and
otherwise. Very stable, very accurate steering.  Parking lot
maneuvering requires a bit more effort but I'm young and I'm able-bodied so I
really don't care. It's just wonderful; I can't imagine how great it will be
once I upgrade the suspension! Everyone who said this little mod is worth it was
completely right. Thanks for all your help!
