17" S4 Wheels on Type 44

FYI, I did it, I just installed current S4 Avus wheels (17x7.5 ET45) on my '89 200 tq with no clearance problems. I did use a 215/45-17 tire, which leaves about 3mm clearance to the steering arms, and maybe a little more on the rear fenders on full compression.
I'm going to recheck the steering arms and tires in a while to see if they are touching when the tire deforms. I've got H&R spacers if I need to use them.

The 215 makes sense for this car also because the rolling circumference is near dead even with the 205/60-15 that came on it originally.

The car looks and handles really great, especially with the euro S2 steering wheel (Thanks QRS and Jimmy P.) I can't wait to get the Koni/H&R combo on it....
