Symptoms of bad Ball Joints

If your finances and time allow, I would go ahead and replace it all.  I
have gone the bit by bit route and I have also done a front subframe off
replacement of all bushings, ball joints, struts, tie rods, etc.  I know on
my coupe(type 85) this is not very involved and is relatively easy and
lightweight(anybody who has worked on a Ford I-Beam FS will agree I am
sure).  Plus it makes it easy to make it all pretty under there.  IMHO I
think it most wise to do it all once, if possible.  This is of course
assuming that all the parts are worn, but they are aren't they?!  Got to
love that 15 year service.  On the bright side when it is done, it is like a
new car.  Now if I could just convince the rest of the car to act like it is
new...

On my 90, the shake came from the lower control arm bushings and the strut
mounts.  For good measure I am replacing the ball joints and the tie rods at
the same time.

Will let you know how the rebuild comes out.

Decided to keep the car because I really like it and so far everything
works.

I am glad someone told me about the rear fog lamp - it is BRIGHT and keeps
people from running over me - when they can catch me, that is...
