Richard,
Your system is CIS-3 and the mixture is adjustable
externally. The CIS computer controls mixture only
within a small range. One can think of the external
adjustment as course and the computer adjustment as
fine.
If you did have high NOx the mixture was too lean so
it would appear the mechanics made the right decision.
Hows CO now. A high CO would indicate the adjustment
went to far rich.
