In my experience clearances are tight

I have A4 rims (16 x 7, 45 mm offset), rear fender clearances are tight
(about 6 mm) and
front steering knuckle clearances are even tighter (about 1 mm) with
205/55-16 Kumho 711's.

Front spacers would help or the use of A8 16 x 7, 37 mm ON THE FRONT
only.

Note, although my car is lowered (H+R's) the clearance issues would be
the same.
