Bulb Condoms?

I know that VDO *used to* have them available in several colors to allow the
illumination of their gauges to more closely match that of the rest of the
car ... I bought some red ones for the aux gauges I put in the ury ... I'd
recommend checking suppliers of aftermarket gauges ... and perhaps radio
shack.  Did a bit of web surfing ... looks like VDO calls them "diffusers"
... here's some info on possible VDO P/Ns ...

After just relaying my lights (thanks Huw) I'd like to move on to putting in
my radio (a Blaupunkt) rather than the one that's in the car (which also is
a Blaupunkt). The reason the existing one is still in is because the green
display has been turned red (by my brother). The way to do this is with
"bulb condoms." I have no idea where to find these things or what they're
called. I think about a month ago somebody (Ti?) mentioned them and I made
sure to save the post. Of course, I can't find it anywhere now, including
the archives. Any suggestions?
