Well off topic, I know, but I wanted to recommend a quick-setting epoxy I've
found very valuable. It's NAPA/Permatex Fast Cure Epoxy 45, item No.
765-1157. It seems to set up about as strong as JB Weld but much more
quickly. In 15-20 minutes you can feel it starting to knit, and it's rock
hard in an hour or two. I just used it to secure the rivet retaining the
pull rod in my 4KQ hand brake assembly after grinding part of it away for
removal..
Actually, in reading the label it looks like Permatex specifies 5 minutes
working time at 70 degrees (it's been a little cooler than that up here).
Anyway, it comes in sealed mixing cups, 10 to a can. Excellent.
