Replaced CV half shaft, now wheel is binding...

I compared the old shaft to the new one before I installed it the best I could (the old CV joint was broken completely...i.e. the joint and shaft are in 2 pieces), and they looked identical. It fit just fine when installed, and I could move it in and out of the wheel bearing slightly before I tightened the axle nut.
