Hi Zsolt,
How about this plan. Buy your 5kcstq back from the insurance company, take the tranny and pedals and such from the 5kcstq and put them in the V8Q, making it a 5 speed. Sell off the rest of the 5kcstq to people here and elsewhere to recover the cost, and have a sweet 5 speed V8.
Better yet, take the 5kcstq motor and find a cheap 4kq or Coupe GT to put it in. Cheap as in $1k or so. There's an '84 CGT advertised locally here apparently with bottom end problems for $650 obo.
According to the later posts on Audi-Dudi's site, he said contrary to popular belief the V8 blocks are the same for either tranny and bolt onto the 016 'box.
TAP is in Florida.

Just found a 95 S6 here locally for $18.000 CAN. Sounds like a great
deal. The car seems to be in excellent shape. All I need now, is have my
90 V8 (auto) sold (which nobody seems to want) and have my 5k tq (that
just got t-boned) written off.
The S6 has something like 100k miles on it and has been dealer
maintained. Has a new clutch, brakes, and timing belt last year. It has
also been chipped by a company out of Florida (does anybody have any
idea what outfit that may have been?)
Anyway, I don't think it's going to happen... :(
Zsolt
