Thanks for the reply.
I suppose I could put an ad in the Marketplace. The car was pretty good
but if fixable it would now be more of a beater/rally car. I doubt it
would be wise to fix it back to 'nice.' The motor is good, I had some
trouble with the knock sensor, but I drove the car 3500 miles in 2 months
with only a loss of power when the knock sensor went bad. It has 174,500
miles on it, but doesn't use any significant amount of oil. At the time of
the accident, It was down 1/2 a quart after 2000 miles or so (Racine to
Boulder, Boulder to Durango, with side trips.) Clutch seems good, likewise
trans, tires, etc. I didn't notice any damage to the right front
wheel/tire. It's red with a grey leather interior. The interior is
pretty nice, no cracks in the dash. The driver's seat is from a car with
heated seats but the car has no bunwarmer controls. The sunroof doesn't
work (stripped gears) nor does the AC. I hadn't looked at the AC, all the
parts are there so it's fixable. It was a good running, driving car. No
funny steering, handling or brake trouble.
If someone wanted to buy it, I'd be worried they were expecting it to be
an easy fix, I'd feel better if someone were buying it for the driveline
or something. If it turned out to be an easy fix, that'd be a bonus.
It's really a shame it's so far away and on the wrong side of the Devide.
Although Ouray has great hot springs, and Telluride isn't too far away so
it could be a mini vacation dealing with it.
