Another I-5 engine management option...

Hi!

I just checked last night and also spoke to the local distributor
of this product over here in South Africa. DTA in the UK support
5-cylinder engines and that is sequential injection and coil-per-
plug. It also has a launch control facility which I reckon would
be good for anyone with a turbocharged FWD Audi (who else on this
list except me has such a thing? :) Or should I say: who on this
list would want such a thing? :)).

The local price for the P8Pro is $1400 or so, though. It does not
have a direct knock sensor input, but the local distributor (urh.
.or should that be the local coil-per-plug?) said it does have facilities
to take a realtime ignition trim. I am waiting for verification on
this. It'd mean being able to use an aftermarket knock controller
for those who want this facility.

Check http://www.dtafast.co.uk , look in the Applications section
and there'll be a 20-valve I5 running the system and apparently belting
out 300HP. I e-mail the owner to find out more.

Price is steep, but seems inline with the like of the Haltech/Autronic/LinkPlus
crowd.
