Yup.
it might be a CGI block (Compressed Graphite Iron) Audi and Ford are both in a battle for bragging rights to make the first massed produced CGI blocks. when used in a high output diesel engine its actually lighter than an aluminum alloy block of comprable strength. Mercedes BMW and I think Audi all use it for their V8 Deisel engines but I guess they are not considered mass produced. This material is difficult to work with and requires very special tooling to machine it.
I have no idea if thats what this block will be made of but I do know Audi and Ford want to use it on all of their diesel stuff.
