water pump bolt sealant?

So, am I supposed to have used sealant on my water pump bolts because
they go through the oil pump? If so, what should I use? Just regular
Loctite blue, or smear some sealer on them? If this is the case,
hopefully only pulling one bolt at a time will not compromise the o
ring seal on the water pump.
