Would you convert a rare CGT (an 87.5) to 10VT?

Ahh, and can he?? I've been watching this thread somewhat amused, I'll refer to the age old addage "If it sounds too good to be true, dot, dot, dot"
You're saying that someone is going to put in a fresh, rebuilt $2k+ motor and spend 100 hours of labor to install it (in perfect running condition) for $2800? With AC??!
Either its a big lie or the guy is really naive. When 2bennett does an MC swap they basically loose money, and they charge over $12k for a complete, roll out the door swap. I believe them, you couldn't pay me to do a turbo swap in another person's car, its just not worth it.
I don't know you, the guy, or the situation, but I'd be very weary. Speaking in general terms, something doesn't add up for me.
Sorry, I'd love to give you the "Sounds great! Go for it!", but I know too much about these kind of swaps to think that anyone would want to loose a ton of money doing one. Being limited in skills and knowledge of such a highly modifed car that you'd like to drive on a regular basis isn't helping you much either, you need to be realistic about the complexity and repairability of a car like this.
