A friend of mine with an A6 turbo is having major problems and needs the
list's collective knowledge and advice.
Here's the story:
Was driving to work(not hard) a few days ago and all of a sudden he sees
a cloud of white smoke behind him. He pulls over, shuts off the engine
and removes the dipstick to see oil gushing up out of the engine.
Immediately calls the local dealer(Morong Falmouth) and has the car
towed in. Today they call and say the turbo blew up and took out the
kitty with it. $7000 in parts and $3000 in labor. He loves this car
but may now be thinking BMW.
Is this a reasonable explanation?
Is this a fair quote or can he do better?
Please CC me so I don't need to search the digests
Thanks
