Hello fellow Audinauts.
The patient is '88 90Q. The rear caliper is leaking fluid, looks like it's coming from
the handbrake shaft
somewhere. Rather difficult to tell exactly, because everything is covered with ice,
slush and salt.
I checked the archives, of course, but all I found was related to the handbrake sticking.
Mine
is working OK but definitely leaking. It looks like the leak is more pronounced when the
handbrake
is on. Any hints? Can it be easily rebuilt?
I checked the local Euro supplier and they have a "caliper rebuilding kit" part #
443-698-671
but it apparently only contains a piston seal and a protective cap. Would anyone know
what
parts I need to fix a leaking e-brake shaft?
Thanks
Radek
