'86 5000TQ no start... - FIXED!

Yay fixed it tonight!!! It was about the dumbest thing that could have been.
The supply voltage wire connector to the hall sensor wasnt properly
'latched' into the plastic connector, so when you lifed off the plug it
seemed as all was fine, but when you plug it on the distributor the wire
just moved back farther into the connector so it didn't make good contact.
This was found after using the low voltage test light that I assembled
today, great little piece of equipment that thing is. I could see it
flickering while cranking, but then after a few tries noticed that it
stopped turning on with ignition, then I just happened to accidently tug on
the wires going into the connector and the supply voltage wire just slipped
right out. I'm actually kinda embarased that I missed something that simple,
oh well mistakes happen.
After it started was the first time I have really driven the car on all 5
cylinders since I bought it in November, so there were a few other minor
problems, they got fixed quicky and I'm proud to say I left the 914 in my
shop and drove the Audi home for the first time.
Thanks guys for all the help, I really apreciate it and you did guide me in
the right direction!
-Cody
