K&N air filters add 5-10%? Also: xenon?

Depends.  I saw at least that on my other car, but the difference on my 5K
wasn't all that dramatic.  I expect that the larger the area of the stock
filter, the larger difference it'll make.

They advertise cleaning required every 50k unless you live in a dusty
area.  Cleaning is a 10 minute job with a cleaning kit- one kit is $8 at
FLAPS and will last longer than your car.
