looking for driving lights

If you were impressed by the Hella 550s, you probably still will be. Good
lights, IMHO. The Bosch equivalent I haven't used, but have seen it on many a
budget-rally car. One thing you might want to look into is the new Hella FF
lights. FF stands for 'free-form' technology...the lights are sort of eye-
shaped, as opposed to square or round.

I'm running a set on the front of my Audi, but have some wiring issues to work
out I think. I don't use the hella wiring (which is very good) or the stock
bulbs. The 130 watt bulbs, as well as the 100 watt bulbs didn't last long. It
maybe simply due to heat though. I understand that with the stock 55w H3's
they're quite good. The cutoff lines on my FF fogs are incredible!

Don't discount PIAA, ESPECIALLY if you're going to use the kit wiring
harnesses. The PIAA wiring makes Hella and Bosch look like team
doorhandle...in comparison to Huw Powell!

Most shops tend to carry PIAA's 'popular' stuff, which is to say the
little 'rice-boy' lights they make. I know for a fact that the larger lights
(in the Hella 550 size and up) are EXTREMELY nice.

My next set of lights, after being a HELLA user for years, will be a set of
PIAAs. Well made, smaller housings, and 'different'. Kinda like Audi??
