Anyone seeing drastic fuel consumption increases 15% in the recent North
East cold snap? As everyone in the NE knows we are getting some real cold.
On a run up to Maine this past weekend my fuel consumption was rose by about
15%. Temperatures were reading from +5 oh I95 in Greenwich, CT to -5 on
I495 in Lowell, MA and -6 in Raymond, ME on the early morning drive north.
I always expect mileage to vary with temperature but this seemed extreme.
The drive home was in the teens to 20s and mileage is back to normal.
Thoughts?
