Why are the Audi Gods doing this to me, what have I done to them?

  Listers,

  I've been having one hell of a time with my 90
200tqa MC2 with modded ECU,
 first I had to replace my Knock Sensor cause it was
bad $120,
then the top neck of my radiator snapped off doing
120mph with a Cobra Mustang rite behind me
$190(included a rad switch),
then I'm gettin a real hard time starting the car cold
and I think I figure it out cause I remember a month
ago or so I get the Coolant Temp Sender code 2312
which saies "Disconnection or short in signal wire"
the symptoms are exactlly like what I'm experiencing
it saies,
"cold start difficulty at very low temperatures/Engine
runs out of balance during warmup phase".
 So this morning I go for a 30 minute ride on the Mass
Pike to warm the car up to test the temp sensors(which
were replaced last March) & to pull any codes, well I
pulled the codes but I didn't get the Coolant Temp
Sender code I got the Engine Manifold Pressure code
2224,
so I look at that and it saies "Dump Valve
defective/Hose between dump valve & wategate frequency
valve has fallen off, cracked or become defective" it
saies the Effects are "Fuel pump relay shutoff via
Ignition controll unit"
 What the hell is the Dump Valve?
I've searched high and low and can't find it or
another reference to it anywhere, who knows what the
OTHER name for it is?
 And I still have a cold start issue, I checked the
Temp sensors don't really now how to I guess cause I
checked them cold 68F(20c) and got with the meeter set
on RX1K-3 OHMS, I didn't think this was rite so I set
the meeter at RX100- and got 28 OHMS, so once again
thinking this wasn't rite I set the meeter at RX10-
and got 300 OHMS, and finally at RX1- and got 2k OHMS
Which is the correct reading?
 And if anyone would tell me what Bentley means by
Dump Valve.
