Dan,

Sorry to see your last Q go, although I can understand
that chasing around leaks (some fluid, some electron)
around a time challenged car. I know you'll be back with
another Q when the time is right. In the meantime, at
least the Jetta is still VAG. And at least it's easy to tell
when it's you going by (yet to see another Jetta in your
car's color....)
