S4's 92 vrs. '93 vrs. '94 .........wanted general information

I am starting my peruse to purchase an early S4. If someone knows for the
best information source for the pros and cons of the different years please
let me know. I've heard that there are some "goodies" that only came on the
'92 (?). The Audiworld Tech Specs are identical for the '92-'94. I would also
like to know the final (ring and pinion) gear ratio.....
