Team Doorhandle is about to strike!

Good people,

The last few days, the driver's side doorhandle on my 87 Coupe has
become noticeably harder to pull to open the door. With all the stories
of broken doorhandles here, I fear that mine will break if I dont do
some preventive maintenance to it.

I just wanted to ask the list about the collective wisdom on this,
before the handle goes to h. Should I just take it out of the door,
disassemble it, clean it and grease it up?
